I grew up in New York City and attended the American Boychoir School from 1990-1994 singing under the direction of James Litton and Wallace Hornady. I continued studying music at Interlochen Arts Academy from 1994-1998. At Interlochen I began studies in dance and attended SUNY Purchase as a dance major from 1998-1999 before beginning a career in ballet. I danced as a trainee at Pacific Northwest Ballet in Seattle from 2000-2001 and joined Ballet Met in Columbus,Ohio in 2001 where I danced until 2004. I was a member of the Alberta Ballet in Calgary from 2004-2007 and then moved back to New York City where I danced in the companies of Shen Wei and Lar Lubovitch. I attended the Fashion Institute of Technology from 2009-2012 where I got a degree in fashion design and started a business designing costumes for dance productions with classmate Harriet Jung. Reid and Harriet Design has designed productions for most of the major dance companies in North America and many companies abroad. They have developed costume centric performances at the Museum of Art and Design and the Guggenheim Museum in NYC. Additionally they have completed research fellowships at the New York Library for the Performing Arts and NYU's Center for Ballet and the Arts. I am completing my MFA in dance studies from University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA in summer 2021.
